Frequently Asked Questions

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients are able to receive reimbursement from their insurance company for out-of-network mental health services.
If you’d like to check your benefits, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed for an out-of-network provider?
Do I need to meet a deductible first?
How do I submit a claim for reimbursement?
I’m happy to provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours notice so that I can offer the time to someone else who may be waiting.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or missed appointments, will be billed at the full session rate.
Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed or late-canceled sessions.

Yes! I offer a number of sliding scale slots to increase access to care for those who may not be able to pay the full fee. Sliding scale availability is based on financial need and current openings, and we can discuss this option during your consultation if it would be helpful.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation—sometimes I call it a “vibe check.” This gives us a chance to meet, talk about what you’re looking for, and see how it feels to work together.
The therapeutic relationship works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. If for any reason it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I’m more than happy to provide referrals to other providers who may be a better match for your needs.

Most of my sessions are offered virtually (either via Zoom or phone call), which allows for flexibility and accessibility. However, in some cases, I may recommend home-based therapy if it is clinically necessary and we are geographically able to do so.
Home visits can be particularly helpful when working on real-life goals in a natural environment, or when leaving home feels overwhelming due to anxiety, OCD, or other challenges. We’ll discuss together whether this is the right option for you or your child’s needs.
*Home-based therapy sessions are $200
